“Things That Fly, Things That Flee, Things That Lie, Things That Die,
A  History Of Flight”

I do not see my life as separate from world history.  History is preserved in me.We are evidences that form history.  I was brought up in a world that plannedthe extermination of a whole people……I am living in a world that continuesto produce refugees………I am only able to think in images…….

How do birds that never migrated before know when to leave and where to go? How do they choose a place to land?  How do they find their way?

The missile carries a warhead weighing 1,870 pounds.  It has three differentfuses to insure detonation….I live in an elastic country of immigrants…….740 people are deported every day…The private life of war. Werner Von Braunthe father of space travel….a member of the Nazi Party….immigrated to the United States ….I am only able to think in images…

We are living in a world that is hostile to immigrants. They are not ableto look backward or to go forward, they have no home, no flow of language, onlysilent emotions and thoughts, they cannot yet form a private inner conversation that speaks of their feelings… Silent in all ways…. Like an infant bornto begin a new life in a new language………….Lost in translation ….I am only able to think in images…….

I am the ominous invader, the flyer/fleer the refugee, whom we make the fearful“Other” who is trying to invade our territory….The boat is full...We have a quota…

Hitler was an artist …The virility of war, the bomb is super human in size…To awful to remember/to hard to forget …I am only able to think in images…

Leonardo Da Vinci the father of aviation designed a hot-air balloon by studyingThe flight of birds….Malevitch/Supremists were inspired by the aerial views of wingedformations…..The Bauhaus followed form and function...Kandinsky wrote of the spirit.I have a language to speak out. …….Finally I am home within myself.
